College by Television
College of the Canyons

Welcome to the College-by-Television Web site. We hope that the information on these pages will answer any questions that you may have.

All CTV courses will meet at least five times during the semester. All meetings are mandatory, unless you make prior arrangements with your instructor. Class meetings are two hours in length. Most courses meet on Saturdays, but there are exceptions. Please check the class schedule carefully before your registration date.

Each course will air one hour per week during spring and fall semesters, and two or three hours per week during the shortened summer semester.  Each episode will correspond to a chapter in the accompanying textbook. Episodes are 30 or 60 minutes in length, depending on the course.

Textbooks are required. Textbooks and accompanying study guides may be purchased online or in the College bookstore. When purchasing at the bookstore, please make sure that you select the correct books. Textbooks accompanying CTV courses are generally different from those used in classes meeting on-campus.

For broadcast or rental information, please see the Broadcast Schedule link at the top of this page.
