Moving Backward and Forward through Sites

MOVING BACKWARD AND FORWARD THROUGH SITES USING INTERNET EXPLORER:

The easiest way to move through recently visited sites is to use the arrows marked Back and Forward on the toolbar.  Note that this proceedure will only be effectual in searching sites that you have visited during the current online session.

When the Back and Forward arrows are both active (clear and in color) you may move in either direction.  If one of the arrows is inactive (appears faintly on your screen), then you are already at the furthest point you can travel in that direction and may not move any further.

Clicking an arrow one time will advance or move you back one page at a time.  To move forward or backward multiple pages, click on the small down-arrow (appears as an inverted triangle).  A small drop-down menu will open listing the last several pages visited.  You may click on one of the pages listed, or click on the bottom-most offering to bring up other past pages.

MOVING BACKWARD AND FORWARD USING NETSCAPE:

Moving backward and forward using arrows in Netscape is much the same as using Internet Explorer.

When the Back and Forward arrows are both active (bright or higlighted) you may move in either direction.  If one of the arrows is inactive (button is visible, but dark), then you are already at the furthest point you can travel in that direction and may not move any further.
