Replying to and Forwarding Email

There is a difference between forwarding and replying to email.  When you reply to an email sent to you, any attachments to that email will not accompany your reply.  When you forward an email, any attachments connected to the email will accompany the forwarded copy.

Many instructors place their students into smaller "work groups."   You may be involved in a small study group of some kind, and have to create a project or a report as a group.  Email is a good way to send copies of material to one another; therefore, you will most likely receive an attachment that you must alter in some way before sending to another.  To send this altered version to the original sender you must forward the message to the sender, not merely reply to it.  Remember, replying will not include the amended attachment.
