Hardware Requirements

Recommended hardware for online learning @ College of the Canyons

Minimum PC hardware standard:

Pentium Processor or equivalent, 133 MHz or faster (233 MHz is suggested).
 
64 MB RAM is suggested
 
200 MB available hard disk space
 
CD-ROM drive (minimum 16x speed is suggested)
 
56.6 KBps modem, or faster
 
Soundcard and speakers are suggested, but many courses do not require this)
 
Video card capable of 800x600 pixel resolution
 
Monitor capable of displaying 256 colors is suggested

Minimum Macintosh hardware standard:

Power Mac 603e, 180 MHz, or better
 
64 MB RAM is suggested
 
200 MB available hard disk space
 
CD-ROM drive (16x minimum speed suggested)
 
56.6 KBps modem, or faster
 
Sound card and speakers is suggested (although many courses will not require this)
 
Monitor capable of displaying 256 colors is suggested
